SC and Slackware 13.1

Hi all,

I am having trouble using SC (Spreadsheet Calculator) in Slackware 13.1.

I *would* think I'm doing something incorrectly, but I have no trouble using an older version of SC (version 6.21) in DOS.

In my old DOS version, I can easily enter numbers in a cell by entering:

Code:
=1
Or text in a cell by entering:

Code:
<"Some Text"
However, when I use these same commands in the Slackware version of SC, I receive a syntax error message.

I anyone else experiencing these problems or have any ideas?

Thanks.

A recent thread about it: http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...6_64-a-847906/

Just to make sure, are you running Slackware or an derivative?

Thanks!

I'm using Slackware 13.1, but 64-bit like the other people having the problem.

I'll see if I can get these patches to work and will report back.

While this usually isn't good advice, in this case the package from -current should work on Slackware 13.1.

Hi all,

I just replaced the Slackware 13.1 version of SC with the Slackware-Current version of SC, and it works like a charm.

Thanks everyone!
