sbopkg/sqg vs sbotools?

Reading a recent thread made me wonder:
I have sbotools installed but never used it yet. Out of curiosity I have read all sbo* man pages and it seems me that all its functions are also available from sbopkq/sqg. Is sbotools just another way to perform theses functions, or is there something that I miss not using it?

I am looking for answers from folks having actually used both tools, from a functional point of view, but am not interested in theoretical considerations.

Thanks in advance.

i have used sbotools to compile compat32 packages from SBo. I even made a post about making them co-exist with sbopkg:

I have tried both and find sbotools more straight forward than sbopkg. Although fetching the whole sbo tree is more time consuming here in third world but getting rid of queue files and sqg worth that. However I think Slpkg is the most feature rich third party package manager for Slackware. Specially its capability to deal with SBo as well as binary repositories is very promising (same as usm which Didier formerly mentioned. I have not tried it yet)

Anyway, I am not sure Slackware developers consider using these perl/python based tools as Slackware way.
