Running `thunderbird` opens two instances of the program

Weird bug, that i've noticed recently. If i launch thunderbird, from either an application entry, on the terminal, or from a keybind... i end up with two instances of it.

Closing one of them, closes both of them.

What on earth is going on here, i am stumped as to what might be causing this. I have tried download the tarball from https://download.mozilla.org/?produc...x64&lang=en-US , but still get the same problem with both the slackware package as well as this.

Has any experienced this before?

Nevermind, i seems something related to local files... i renamed ~/.thunderbird and now the problem went away.
