Root cannot open file it owns
Running 14.2-X86_64 on this server. I installed dirvish vaults for backups in /media/bkup1/ which has 777 perms. Each vault/subdirectory is owned by roor.toot and has 751 perms. In each vault is the text file default.conf with 644 perms.
I'm trying to initialize the vaults, starting with salmo-data1/ using the command, `dirvish --init --vault salmo-data1` and rather than making a copy of /data1 into that vault the message "cannot open config file: default.conf" is returned.
I'm totally stymied understanding why dirvish cannot read that file. I need suggestions and recommendations on finding the source of the problem it it's not permissions.
TIA,
Rich
