.rnd file in / with lp group?

I seem to have a .rnd file in /, with lp as group:

Code:
-rw------- 1 root lp 1024 2010-03-09 06:44 /.rnd
Don't remember ever seeing that before. Anyone know what that's about?

As far as /var/log/messages is concerned, the file creation timestamp coincides with gpm startup and stunnel startup. neither of which should have anything to do with the lp group..

Random hash data file

Generated by PuTTY or VMWare. File contains random data used for creating unique secure certificates.
