Time to remove python2 or will that be left for current-next-next?
There will be much rejoicing purging the python2 slackbuilds from SBo.
Maybe that will not be so easy alas, my friend. Even Arch lists 1335 packages depending on Python2 (including the optional ones and the build dependencies). Maybe most are in the AUR rather than in the core distribution but still
Since the addition of pam in slackware 15.0, it's possible to authentificate ldap users as unix users. However it requires to start /etc/rc.d/rc.nss-pam-ldapd which read /etc/nslcd.conf. nslcd user and group are required by default but don't exist in slackware. I think it's time to add them?
It also requires to "chown nslcd:nslcd /run/nslcd" in rc.nss-pam-ldapd.

Reason: chown nslcd:nslcd /run/nslcd
One of my workhorse apps for Plasma is Kile. Sadly, it hasn't seen a release in ages, although the version shipped by Slackware is quite stable and functional (it should really be a release). Let's hope they port it to Plasma 6 soon.
Just wanted to point out for clarification that this is *not* a showstopper for me. If Kile is not ported to Plasma 6 then I'll continue to use the Plasma 5 version or I might switch to TeXStudio, which is another app which came from the same original author (Pascal Brachet), and thus fairly similar; and which was ported to Qt6 ages ago.
