Because SCIM has been replaced by fcitx and ibus, I think it is a good time to replace Anthy.
Anthy update stopped on February 9th, 2009.
I want to suggest mozc as a replacement.

by default -current fails on crontab -e

complains /run/cron does not exist, correct it doesnt, manually making this directory and crontab -e works

This is all as root

No issues here. Do you have /etc/rc.d/rc.crond set to execute? The directory is created when crond starts.

libsigc++-2.10.6

Maybe we could go directly to the v3.x series.

Yes please. Mozc is very much preferred for Japanese input.

Added a couple more vtown deps...... and
upower. The new upower won't work with the Xfce in the main tree......
.....testing/packages/vtown/deps/upower-0.99.11-x86_64-1_vtown_1.txz: Upgraded.....
FWIW, upower-0.99.11-x86_64-4_rlw, has worked with Xfce-4.12 for was long as Mr. Workman has been making it available.

Edit in: Just for chuckles I "upgraded" from the rlw version of upower to the vtown version. Didn't make a bit of difference. Everything runs as it should.

Well, I started to believe that in Mr. Volkerding's vision, the VTown has a different meaning of KTown, being rather a place where are integrated huge sets of software...

I would not be so surprised if I will see soon a mouse in this VTown.

As I said in this topic, I'm seeing a crash in umount on every shutdown which caused my drives to get powered off in a dirty state with kernel 5.4.80. The issue is not present with kernel 5.4.79 and previous ones.

Thus I'm requesting any of the following, if possible:

1. Upgrade the kernel to a newer version which might fix the issue.
2. Momentarily downgrade the kernel to 5.4.79
3. Maybe rebuild or upgrade util-linux against the current kernel.

Thanks!!

overright or required? -current with 2 x openssl versions

for Pat really if he reads, I know he wont reply, but...

openssl-1.1.1h-x86_64-1
openssl-solibs-1.1.1h-x86_64-1

openssl10-solibs-1.0.2u-x86_64-1
openssl10-1.0.2u-x86_64-1

Not an upgrade, fresh ISO build (this past week) and install of -current

It did cause conflict in building couple things

(NB: I may miss replies, the forum has not been sending email updates for some time, probably becasue long time lerker not very often poster hehe)

Nice prediction!

And many, many thanks to Mr. Volkerding! I waited so long to see this new mouse in Slackware-current!

Check your profile. Notifications could be off. Mine were, and I didn't receive notifications for a long time. I asked Jeremy, and he told me they were off. I checked and sre enough, I had to fix that. It happened again three days ago. I didn't change anything, but notifications were off again....
