regression on -current with gcc-11.3.0

While upgrading gcc to 11.3.0 version, I tried to build the kernel with the script "build-all-kernels.sh".
I noticed 2 unusual things:

First it waits for the last line:

Code:
Symmetric multi-processing support (SMP) [Y/n/?] y
Support x2apic (X86_X2APIC) [Y/n/?] y
Enable MPS table (X86_MPPARSE) [Y/n/?] y
Avoid speculative indirect branches in kernel (RETPOLINE) [Y/n/?] y
Mitigate Straight-Line-Speculation (SLS) [N/y/?] (NEW)
Secondly, after building the source package it waits forever, nothing happens:

Code:
Slackware package /tmp/kernel-source-5.17.4-noarch-1.txz created.

Verifying package kernel-source-5.17.4-noarch-1.txz.
Installing package kernel-source-5.17.4-noarch-1.txz:
PACKAGE DESCRIPTION:
# kernel-source (Linux kernel source)
#
# Source code for Linus Torvalds' Linux kernel.
#
# This is the complete and unmodified source code for the Linux kernel.
#
Executing install script for kernel-source-5.17.4-noarch-1.txz.
Package kernel-source-5.17.4-noarch-1.txz installed.

I have had this happen on kernels before. If it prompts you for a option that is not in the config then it appears to freeze at where you indicated. Just hit enter a few times and the build should continue.

It only helps for the first wait, not the second.

update: by typing "enter" while waiting the 2nd time, it starts again.
I need to type "enter" each time a new step is achieved.
