i want to morroring the entire disk hda to hdc

Code:
Mar 8 16:28:58 servcd kernel: md: could not bd_claim hda.
Mar 8 16:28:58 servcd kernel: md: error, md_import_device() returned -16
Code:
root@servcd:/# raidstop /dev/md/0
root@servcd:/# mdadm --create /dev/md/0 --level=1 --raid-devices=2 /dev/hda /dev/hdc
mdadm: /dev/hda appears to be part of a raid array:
    level=1 devices=2 ctime=Mon Mar  7 18:02:22 2005
mdadm: /dev/hdc appears to be part of a raid array:
    level=1 devices=2 ctime=Mon Mar  7 16:44:51 2005
Continue creating array? yes
VERS = 9001
mdadm: ADD_NEW_DISK for /dev/hda failed: Device or resource busy
root@servcd:/#

first, you should change the partition format from swap to Linux raid auto

then

mdadm --create /dev/md0 --level=1 --raid-devices=2 /dev/hda /dev/hdc

Quote:
/dev/hda is specified the whole disk,you should make partitions by fdisk
that is my fault, sorry!! you can build mirror disk without partition.

but I think you should build a partition and specify format is Linux raid auto as well.

        raid-disk               0
        device          /dev/hdc
        raid-disk               1
