Copy the contents of the slackware 9.0 cd to your hard drive and add the /k directory, then cut the following code and paste it into a text editor, save it to the top slackware directory (where the Changelog.txt is) as remaster.sh and chmod 755 it, then run it to remaster the slackware cd.
Code:
---------start cut below this line--------

#!/bin/sh

mkisofs -o /tmp/slackware.iso \
-R -J -V "Slackware Install" \
-x remaster.sh \
-hide-rr-moved \
-v -d -N -no-emul-boot -boot-load-size 32 -boot-info-table \
-sort isolinux/iso.sort \
-b isolinux/isolinux.bin \
-c isolinux/isolinux.boot \
-A "Slackware Install CD" .

---------end cut above this line--------

Thanks man, but I've actually done it already using WinISO (I tried the mkisofs method once with slackware-current but got scared and aborted it when it started truncating the longer filenames). Apologies for the last couple of replies, I was just getting sick of people glossing over what it was I really wanted to know (whether or not the Slack installer would pick up the grafted k directory) and just pointed me in the direction of either the packages maintained by Slackware or the untouched kernel source tarballs. I'd affero you for at least trying to help but I'm not registered with the system... (I realy must get around to that...)
