problems with slackware 9.1

Hi All,

My slackware sys was working alright untill nowadays
When ever I go to to
either logoff from KDE3.2.1, poweroff, reboot, halt from shell, It always jams
yes jams (stops responding) , I know its weird in linux, but thats what it does.

the only major thing I did, was to uninstall gnome and all its associated packages, and try to install Gnome2.6, but I was unsuccessful so I left it. Does it have to do something with it. I'm runnnig kde3.2.1

anyone with ideas?

you must have taken out some of the required library packages that
is needed by KDE...........
there are library packs that KDE and Gnome both use...........
look in /var/log ...there are 2 directories there........removed packages and removed scripts..........
look thru BOTH of these and read the texts to see if KDE needs any of them..........
