problems choosing kernel ??? help!!!


hi all there i am using slackware 9.1 and I don't intend to change it. It's simple the best for me, now I want to know what is the best kernel for slack 9.1 i am curently using 2.4???

go with 2.4.29

the 2.6x series STILL has too many problems!

2.6.10 runs just fine for me and my servers.

Slackware 9.1

I think 9.1 <2.4.22> was really good also.

You may need to read up on the stuff thats included with the 10.1 version. If there is something
in there that hits your hot button, you should try it.

I really like the better looking gui stuff from 10 to 10.1. In fact, I like the new KDE a lot.

So, change kernel for the drivers and things that make your jardware work better, if any. And go to
the latest version distro if the applications work better.

I'm running 10.1 <2.4.29> on a laptop for harware reasons, and <2.4.26> on a server for the same reason.

2.4.29 here..

2.6 does still have problems...
And since Pat is still running a 2.4 kernel,
it's good enough for me.
