Arrow Problem with vmware

Hi all,
i have a problem running vmware on my slamd64 on an amd turion x2 processor:
i have installed gtk+-1.2.10
gtk+2-2.12.9
gtk+2-32-2.12.9

and kde 3.5 is running.
The error returned on a console while runnin the command vmware is:

vmware: xcb_lock.c:77: _XGetXCBBuffer: Assertion `((int) ((xcb_req) - (dpy->request)) >= 0)' failed.

Is there some one that has solved this problem?

Thank you all.

I'm not sure if this will fix it, but you can try:

Code:
export LIBXCB_ALLOW_SLOPPY_LOCK=1
vmware

I installed VMware Server 1.0.8 on Slackware 12.2 and it works.

Then I installed VMware Server Console 1.0.8 on the same Slackware 12.2 successfully, but when I try to start the console with the command:

vmware-server-console

I get the following error:

vmware-server-console: xcb_lock.c:77: _XGetXCBBuffer: Assertion `((int) ((xcb_req) - (dpy->request)) >= 0)' failed.

I installed VMware Server 2.0 on another Slackware 12.2 machine and everything is fine. However I need VMware Server 1.0.x because I have to use VMware Studio 1.0, which is only compatible with VMware Server 1.0.x.

My question is:

did "export LIBXCB_ALLOW_SLOPPY_LOCK=1" solve the problem?

What are the implications/consequences of this setting?

I would like not to break something else in my Slackware 12.2 system.
