Hi,
has anyone the same problem with bash in -current?
Everytime I use the commandline completition with TAB , it adds me a space, so I always need to push the backspace to continue to complete the path.So the whole thng get's a bit unuseable
I'm using bash-4.1.010-486-1 and bash-completition-1.3-noarch
I've once (some years ago) tried bash-completion and didn't find it very useful. Are you sure that you really need the bashcompletion-package? as you know the commandlinecompletion with TAB works without bashcompletion as well, so I'd recommend to uninstall this package.
You are right, actually I don't use bash-completition, it got installed, but it's not activated by default.
And all I do in bash, already existed before this package appeared.
But this issue is very strange as I realized, that it is not there all the time .
For example after I started and stopped MC it had disappeared.
After the next reboot, it happened in one tty , if I open a second, all is working fine
Yes it's actually a brand new installation from scratch.
I removed bash-completition meanwhile, but it just occurs from time to time.
I suppose it has something to do with switching terminals and maybe even running and stopping MC but I haven't gone into detail there
