I've got this problem when i try to upgrade KDE 3.1.4 to KDE 3.2.0. after i upgrade the KDE using upgradepkg, I start xserver and it told me to check my installation and i can't enter KDE it also shows something about cant conect to DOCP server... Can someone please tell me what is going on..

i am assuming this upgrade was done on slackware. how exactly did you do the upgrade? place all the kde downloads into one directory and run the upgradepkg *.tgz command from that directory. it should install everything in the correct order and update the old version. i did not do an update, i uninstalled kde 3.1.4 and then installed 3.2 but everything went well. others on here have said that upgrading as gone well with no errors. i would suggest removing kde all together from the command line and then run installpkg to install kde 3.2

Upgrading worked remarkably well for me. So long as you get ALL the needed packages including the art and qt ones. Dump them in one directory and upgrade *.tgz. Worked fine for me.
