Podcast refers to Slackware as 'least favorite distro'
I was just listening to a Linux podcast from Jupiter Broadcasting and one of the hosts brought up Slackware as one of his 'least favorite distros'. He didn't go into details as to exactly why he dislikes Slackware aside from vague references to its usability. https://www.jupiterbroadcasting.com/...fice-hours/18/
(discussion starts at around 26 minutes)
I know you aren't supposed to say anything bad about Slackware
Well whenever he feels the urge to actually say something bad about it let me know. They ripped Pop OS, Fedora, and openSUSE up pretty good but all they said about slack was "meh, not for me".

Anyone can start a podcast and share their opinion about Linux. I could start a podcast about a certain init system and distros that I don't like. Each to his/her own. Live and let live.
I do appreciate the link as I know now which podcast to avoid. Haha.
I listened to it and he framed it as his personal preference and said he was glad Slackware exists and hope it continues. He also said it as a piece of art.
So, just a personal opinion, which everyone has, so not a big deal to me.

And damn, they REALLY don't like yast.
Yeah. I took your lead and listened to it. They barely mentioned Slackware.
While I'm a Slackware diehard and the way it works makes sense to me, I can certainly understand that it's not for everyone... not everyone is going to like it. Among my friends and family, I'm the only one who uses it.
Overall, I thought their comments were fair. Then the conversation started drifting into US politics and that's where I turned it off.
I'm guessing this is a rhetorical question.
Haha. A thread about someone bashing Slackware here on LQ?! Oh well.
I've happily used Slackware since 10.0.
