Could whoever maintains rdesktop in Slackware please upgrade it to the latest version (1.8.2), as this fixes a problem I had with connecting to VirtualBox VMs via RDP.
The problem is that I could connect to the VM and display the console, but keyboard input did not work, ie could not actually do anything.
You won't have to change the version numbers. Probably have to comment out the patching due to that `|| exit 0`
...
Download 1.8.2 from the rdesktop site. Can't guarantee the tarball will use the same compression and or naming (could be an issue due to how VERSION is set) if you get it anywhere else
Just to clarify, I did download, compile and install rdesktop v1.8.2, and found that it fixed my problem with v1.8.0. I just used the build script from standard Slackware 14.1.
I was just proposing that Slackware itself should should be updated to include the latest version.
Thanks,
Leigh.

Reason: fixed typo.
