Here is what I did and ran into problems:
I am using Subversion through the Apache httpd "svn dav" modules on Slackware 13.37. For one of my repositories I wanted to setup a "pre-revprop-change" hook. After doing so, I got the following error messages in my apache log files: "Error waiting for process '/home/subversion/repositories/xyz/hooks/pre-revprop-change': No child processes".
After some searching I found this forum thread which describes exactly the same problem I had:
http://subversion.tigris.org/ds/view...ssageId=986047
So I rebuilt php 5.3.13 without the "--enable-sigchild" option and it all worked as expected.
The above happened about two months ago.
And I also found this today:
http://www.php.net/manual/en/configure.php
Where it says that "--enable-sigchild is only relevent to users of Oracle who are having <defunc> processes".
Today with the update to php 5.3.14, I had to rebuild again.
SlackTeam - I was wondering if it would be possible to build php from now on without the "--enable-sigchild" configure option, please.
Thank you.
