openvz image update

So I see hostus has a 14.2 image, how easy is it to update this to current/15 ?
I gather we cant just grab a slackpkg template file and have magic. my vps is centos 6, now eol, so want to modernize it but the hostus support tell me to use debian, pfft, no thanks I left that crud for a reason and wont be jumping back on that boat.

Is there an easy way? or will a full upgrade using slackpkg and a 15 repository actually work?

The 15.0 is not out yet
But, when it is released, we will probably have an UPGRADE.TXT in the slackware-15.0/ repository

Like this one for the 14.2 :
http://ftp.slackware.com/pub/slackwa....2/UPGRADE.TXT

By sounds of it he is using vps guest, you cant always just dist-upgrade the OS on those things, its not the same as real hardware.

tshane search these forums for "alienbob vps" he had a script for openvz image, but my memory is vague, so it might be of no use anyway.
