Afaik, writing to a ntfs is quite danger advanture .., as on booting w2k.. will check it for modification, that mean modification can be treated as some not clean thing .. To get read access is so easy like mount ur ntfs partition with type ntfs ..

$ mount -t ntfs /dev/yourNtfsPartition /mnt/destination ..

But u can access to e2fs partition from within window, with the tool googling("explore2fs") .. Actually write access is also possible with it, but it is also danger considered advanture ..

Not so confortable that might solve one desire .. who knows ..

i know that its dangerous, but i would like to attempt useing it , i have an old hard drive i dug out, and slapped ntfs on it. i think that with slackware you can enable the kernel to do ntfs write; for the live cd is there some boot paramenter i could use?

maybe try :
$ mount -t ntfs rw /dev/urNtfs /tmp/urMountPoint

Dunno about live CD ? To mount with write access then ur mount point must also writable .. e.g. some mount on other partition ..

To mount write access to a CD, that is something out of my topic ..
