No wine Slackbuild for 13.1 ?

As always, very impressive effort from Slackbuilds.org to get slackbuild scripts updated for 13.1. Thanks to all who maintain these scripts.

One which does not seem to have made it to 13.1 so far is a build script for WINE. Anybody know whether this is beacuse of some problem ? Or just an oversight ?

The 13.0 script is there - might be OK to just use this with 13.1 ?

No you would have to build the source package using either a slackbuild or src2pkg or in fact using ./configure, make, make install.

However you could just down load a precompiled package from a reliable source such as This one from Alien Bob

Why use my 13.0 package when I also have wine packages for Slackware 13.1:

Thanks for all the quick replies. I went with Alien Bob's 13.1 package and have wine running just fine. [SOLVED]

Sorry again, but why cant I use the wine.txz for slackware from wine. I should not use stuff made for installpkg? I have used it and updated wine from it since I started using slackware (only 13 and 13.1) with no problems. I have used Bobs stuff before (multilib 64) and its perfect but I have never had a problem with the stuff from wine to.

I am still learning linux and love slackware but didnt know I should compile everything. I installed 13.1, sbopkg for Opera and Flash, the Nvidia.sh driver from their site and Wine from their site. Installed my favorite games in Wine and now surf and play games with no problems. All very easy and in less time than I can install windows. I dont know yet how to compile.

Hi, I will be taking over wine from rworkman and as soon as submissions open I will have a working 13.1 build script.
