Newbie facing some problems


this is my first install of slackware 9.0 and i have just finishing my pp-setup

i am facing some problems now
first whenever i start mozilla it hangs, why is that?
second: i have removed lots of uneeded prog but the Kmenu still have them isn't there any auto option to check if those package r availbel or not
third:i can't find in the menu except the logout session option and when i press it the monitor turns black and nothing happen and i have to restart the system by pressing ctrl+alt+del
fourth: that i can't find the dir named linux under /usr/src/
do i have to download the kernel source or what
can't i use another login manager or what shall i do

I can answer the 4th one... You don't have your kernel sources.

and i can't find them on the cd
should i d/l them or is my cd is broken

the slackware 9.0iso was not released with the kernal source on it.
however you can find it listed at the slackware website, go to your nearest location and select the current folder...you'll find them there
