new to slack so far loving it

Ive been destro hopping around for the last 6 months looking for a destro that works for me. I fanally came to slack. So far testing it on my laptop everything works! Video, sound. Now the big test is trying it out on my desktop PC.

My desktop pc using a Leadtek K7NCR18D-Pro mother board with onboard Sound and Lan. With my experiement with using Recent release Knoppix I was able to get my sound card to work, but no Lan.

So my question is has any of you slack user out there experience any hardware issues with using slackware 9.1 on a Leadtek K7NCR18D mother board?

Yes I know about the driver from nvidia
If i had extra harddrive that was large enought I would test it out on that.

All you need to find out is what chipset your motherboard is using for its onboard lan.

You can glean everything else from the knoppix CD when it boots.. a simple lsmod should tell you what to use for sound.
Although you may have to recompile kernel to get OSS sound modules -- I've had very bad luck with ALSA and my onboard sound.
