NetworkManager OpenVPN not working

Hello,

I am trying to connect to an OpenVPN service using NetworkManager, however I am having difficulty. I have installed the NetworkManager-OpenVPN Slackbuild package, and added the required group and user to do so. I am able to then import the .ovpn file provided by the service provider, and attempt to connect to it. When I try to connection, it asks for the password which I provide, then says, "Starting the service providing the VPN connection failed." and "The service providing the VPN connection was stopped."

I am running Slackware64 -current and KDE 4.14.38. Below is the tail of my /var/log/messages file.

Code:

could you please test if a simple version-bump to 1.8.6 is enough to get it working?

I can confirm 1.8.4 works on a clean current system. I will test the 1.8.6 later...

1.8.6 works too on slackware-current. Hopefully it will work for The Dark Passenger.
