MySQL client/header/dev for PHP?

Hi,

I'm trying to setup a secure webserver environment on my box. Initially, I had the slackware packages on there from install (apache, mysql, php) - It was all working fine. However, I wanted to follow a guide to chroot the server and so forth and in the meantime thought that i would upgrade to the latest versions.

Anyway, it meant that I had to just put on apache and php. However, I'm having trouble configuring php, I don't know what to put in the --with-mysql=DIR switch. The default slackware install seems to put the mysql files in different locations.

The last resort is obviously to reinstall mysql from source, but it seems quite pointless to do so when I've got it up and running already from the packages - and it should be optimised too.

I've done quite a few searches throughout the board and the closest I come to is that some have suggested installing the mysql development libraries? But I can't find any slackware packages for it.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

Ok, I found the solution.

Just in case anyone else is wondering, I configured with switch --with-mysql=/usr
