I'll try to explain all the stupid steps I've made:
I need to compile any software that needs a newer version of
pygtk.
Then, when I tried to compile a new version, it needs a newer
pygobject
Then
pyobject needs a newer version of
glib and
gobject-introspection.
Well, I installed glib 2.26.1, but when I tried to compile again
pygobject I got another error:
Code:
checking for GLIB - version >= 2.22.4...
*** 'pkg-config --modversion glib-2.0' returned 2.22.5, but GLIB (2.26.1)
*** was found! If pkg-config was correct, then it is best
*** to remove the old version of GLib. You may also be able to fix the error
*** by modifying your LD_LIBRARY_PATH enviroment variable, or by editing
*** /etc/ld.so.conf. Make sure you have run ldconfig if that is
*** required on your system.
*** If pkg-config was wrong, set the environment variable PKG_CONFIG_PATH
*** to point to the correct configuration files
Then, I thought that the problem was I hadn't deleted the old glib (2.22.4) and I deleted it manually.
Then the graphic windows began to fail. I had to exit with Ctrl+Alt+BackSpace.
After that I couldn't launch the windows again, so I reinstalled Glib from Slackware DVD (the package).
Now I can start in windows, but there are no Icons
Also, I can't launch Thunar, because it has the next error:
Code:
Thunar-ERROR **: Failed to load fallback icon from "/usr/share/pixmaps/Thunar/Thunar-fallback-icon.png" (Unrecognized image file format). Check your installation!
aborting...
Aborted
The year is finishing and i'm sure I am in the main positions for the
Stupid Linux User of the Year, but....any help for me? (for restoring the icons and Thunar and to solve my problem with the different versions of glib) :-)
