mplayer + slack + volume 107% = no sound

hey. when we set sound to 106% in mplayer (actually, problem occurs when we hit Volume Up six times after starting it..) it stops playing, and we get a bunch of:

Sound Blaster: DSP command(##) timeout.

## = between 00 and FF.

then sound breaks, and we have to reboot.

mpg123 does not have this problem.
