Mouse trails

I have just installed the catalyst driver for my radeon 7470 this morning. Everything works okay except for this issue with the mouse trailing. It will display items that are below the program I am currently using for about 5 seconds, and then disappear. It reminds me of using a paint program. I'm currently using KDE 4.10.5 with AMD Catalyst 14.12. Has anyone had this issue before?

I forgot to mention, I can run Fluxbox or any other WM with this not happening.

Thanks,
Brad

goto settings->(desktop)effects->advanced
try changing compositing type there

it's probably a driver problem

Changing composting type to Xrender solved this.

Thank You!

Xrender is normal, not composited, rendering

it is either a KDE bug or X bug or Catalyst bug
my money is on Catalyst, as the gpu is the one painting the mouse on the screen
