Post Mouse Scroll Wheel

I currently have a logitech scroll wheel optical mouse. It is USB, but currently running through a PS2 converter. For some reason the scroll wheel does not work with slack 9. Any Ideas? If not, just tell me where i can manually edit the device.

Locate this entry in your /etc/X11/XF86Config file:
Code:
Section "InputDevice"

# Identifier and driver

    Identifier "Mouse1"
    Driver "mouse"
    Option "Protocol" "IMPS/2"
    Option "Device" "/dev/input/mice"
    Option "ZAxisMapping""4 5"
# Option "CursorShadow" "on"
# Option "CursorShadowAlpha" "40"
# Option "CursorShadowXOffset" "4"
# Option "CursorShadowYOffset" "2"
# When using XQUEUE, comment out the above two lines, and uncomment
# the following line.
Notice the Option "ZAxisMapping" "4 5"

That's the one you want

Cool

Ok, I did that, and restarted X, but it still does work.

Could the problem be that my mouse is using protocol = ps/2
while yours is using imps2? Don't have time to test right now... Have to eat.

Success! Apparently the IMPS/2 protocol worked. What is the IM for?

Yeah, I searched in google for it moments after. So I already figured it out... but i'm sure others like me might actually care.
