After installing wxPython from slackbuilds, Money Manger EX builds fine on 13.37. On -current it dies with
Code:
/usr/lib/gcc/i486-slackware-linux/4.7.0/../../../../i486-slackware-linux/bin/ld: note: 'dlopen@@GLIBC_2.1' is defined in DSO /lib/libdl.so.2 so try adding it to the linker command line
/lib/libdl.so.2: could not read symbols: Invalid operation
collect2: error: ld returned 1 exit status
make: *** [mmex] Error 1
Probably not much unless you contact the original developers about it to double check if it is in fact compatible with GCC 4.7.0. Until then you might do best to stick to the 13.37 stable release.
I wanted to try it after reading this message (also if I got no money to manage, still paying my trip of march in D.C. ), so I prepared a slackbuild that works also on -current
to solve the building problem, I followed the hint that gcc gave
Quote:
/usr/lib/gcc/i486-slackware-linux/4.7.0/../../../../i486-slackware-linux/bin/ld: note: 'dlopen@@GLIBC_2.1' is defined in DSO /lib/libdl.so.2 so try adding it to the linker command line
so I passed an additional LDFLAGS="-ldl" to the configure.
