There are a couple of programs available to dial into AOL accounts.. One is called 'Peng' I believe. There are others.

Do a search

I hven't used peng, but it should come with a readme or install file where you can see the instructions.

it specificly said in the document that came with it:

Quote:
In order to compile and install Peng on your system, type the following in the base directory of the Peng distrobution:

% ./recompile

Since Peng uses

autoconf

you should have no trouble compiling it.

how do i compile and install??

You should relax... You've been working with computers 14 years and never installed Linux, what could do some more minutes to you?
Did you try typing ./recompile in the directory where you extracted the files?

By the way, a quick search for: linux peng install
Showed this: http://www.yolinux.com/TUTORIALS/LinuxTutorialAOL.html
It may be usefull
