Exclamation Modem Drivers

I need Slack drivers or find SOME way to get my modem fired up! This is the modem I got on the this site http://compusaveinc.safeshopper.com/11/373.htm?465 Now I have tried to use PPP dial up tool and either it says modem is busy ( which its not ) or its unable to to find one. This is like on my TOP priortys right now and I would really like to solve this. I KNOW that there are other fourms on this but Im to "lazy" to go find one and read it...hehe...

A good place to start is the chipset on the modem card. The command "lspic" as root will list the pci devices. The other suggestion is to do a search on this web site and on google. This is a common hurdle for newbies and step by step, chipset specific howtos are available.
