Messages from dhcpcd appear in the screen (in the text consoles) at all times.

Hi:
I ran pkgtool>Setup>services and deselected all of them. The immediate consequence was that messages from dhcpcd appear in the screen (in the text consoles) at all times. The messages are like these:

Code:
Welcome to Linux 2.6.21.5-smp (tty1)

darkstar login: dhcpcd[2706]: sending DHCP_REQUEST for 190.244.34.131 to 190.244.32.1

dhcpcd[2706]: dhcpIPaddrLeaseTime=21600 in DHCP server response.

dhcpcd[2706]: dhcpT1value is missing in DHCP server response. Assuming 10800 sec
dhcpcd[2706]: dhcpT2value is missing in DHCP server response. Assuming 18900 sec
dhcpcd[2706]: DHCP_ACK received from (190.244.32.1)
What can I do to stop this annoying effect? Reenable some of the services? But which ones?

I think I solved the problem. I ran pkgtool>Setup>services again and enabled rc.syslog (the Linux system logging utilities). Up to now, I do not see those strange messages, so the problem seems to be solved. Within /etc/rc.d/rc.syslog I read:
Code:
   echo "/usr/sbin/klogd -c 3 -x"
    # '-c 3' = display level 'error' or higher messages on console
    # '-x' = turn off broken EIP translation
    /usr/sbin/klogd -c 3 -x
So I expect that level 3 or greater errors will be displayed on console, but this ought to happen much less often and besides it would be good to know that there has been an important error.

One place where the messages invariably appeared was when booting and at system shutdown. Now I do not see them anymore.
