Cool Me, My Abit NF7-S 2.0 and Slackware 9.1

Well.. Installed Slackware Gnu / Linux 9.1 yesterday and here are som feedback? from me.

Choosed Expert install and it ran smoothly, some problems with lilo but ok :|
My onboard NIC and sound works from start without nvidia drivers do i ned those drivers ???
My Logitech USB Mouse where detected correctly, exept scrollwheel :|
Nvidias drivers installed fine, then edit xf86config and i was up and running
Run alsamixer to increase my sound, looks nice in term alsactl store ? to save??

Tried xfce for some reason and i fell in love again now i have two girls, fluxbox & xfce but.. is that a filemanager.. xffm ? looks really ugly. Tried to start Nautilus but every time i do that " it takes over " the desktop? background changes, gnome icons appear on the desktop and right klick shows gnome menu ?? WTF? have to restart xfce to correct this. I dont really use Nautilus but i think this is annoying ( happend before on another wm )

now , time for breakfast ( just woke up )

<hmm> How do i go from xfce 3.99-rc4 to 4.0 the easiest way ?</hmm>

Slack on Nf7s

Hi. I got xcfe 4.0 using swaret upgrade. I used the 1.3.1 version on the second slack 9.1 disk and edited the .conf file to include everything patches and extras, and it came down automatically.

I'm about to buy a motherboard and the nf7s is a prime candidate. Any issues I should know about? Are you using SATA? That's a big one for me.

Thanks,

joe f.
