Is it possible to create an iso image of -current to include the kernel from testing instead of the 2.4.x kernel. I understand the mechanics of creating a -current .iso (understand it: yes, dont it: no), just wondering if I replaced the kernel files in the "k" directory with the ones from testing would it work? Has anyone tried this?

Sounds like an interesting idea. Here's a suggestion off the top of my head that could possibly work.

Remove kernel-modules-2.4.29-i486-1 from the /a directory, replace with kernel-modules-2.6.11-i486-1 from /testing/packages/linux-2.6.11

Remove kernel-source-2.4.29-noarch-1 from the /k directory, replace it with kernel-source-2.6.11-noarch-1 from the /testing/packages/linux-2.6.11

Remove kernel-ide-2.4.29-i486-1 from /a replacing it with kernel-generic-2.6.11-i486-1 from /testing/packages/linux-2.6.11

I believe you can not remove the kernel headers since other things are compiled against it and it also says not to install the 2.6.* headers unless you absolutely need them. You could try it, not sure if it would work or not though since I'm no guru and theres a possibility that during the configuration stage it might configure everything and possibly a specific 2.4.* boot image? If you had some free time and a few cd's to burn you could see though.
