lost need wireless netgear wg111v2 help

Im lost a bit. I have a netgear wg111v2. It is seen as a a cohiba 3887 chipset or something similiar to this name. Im not at my computer right now so i can't double check. So far it shows I have no wireless devices connected. As far as i know i have to use ndiswrapper, but i haven't had a chance to compile it and run it on my slack 12 box. Has anyone had to do this. With this driver? Maybe give me a low down on what you did. Ill be toying around with it later and any help for when i get home would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

ndiswrapper works like a champ. I can log into my neighbors unsecure network, free is good but not as fast as my cable. Looking at the rc.wireless.conf the rc.inet1.conf and im not sure which one i should edit. I have a wpa secure network that im trying to log onto so i uncommented a few lines in inet1.conf. That is when the fun started when i booted. Could not find wpa supplicant error kept scrolling down the screen. I had to boot with the slackware disk and mount my / partition to edit the inet1.conf to not use wpa and all that jazy stuff. Im getting slow in my age. Things are getting more difficult to grasp. heh, anyway thought i would share and go read some man pages.
