libclamav.so.5. Klamav cannot find it.

When trying to start Klamav the following message appears (when tried from a Konsole),

Klamav: error while loading shared libraries.
libclamav.so.5: cannot open shared object files. No such file or directory.

A search of the hard drive for libclamav.so.5 came back empty handed.

Tried to re-install or updage ClamAV and was told the package is up to date.

Any constructive ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Klamav is looking for libclamav.so.5, but the current version of ClamAV
uses libclamav.so.6.0.3
Guess I'll look for a newer version of Klamav?
Thanks.

Well, that was the problem. Klamav 0.45 is not compatible with ClamAV 0.95.
The Klamav web site shows the newest version is 0.46 and it directs you to SourceForge for the download. It comes as an "installer" that compiles the source code as part of the installation process. Very clever, I thought.
All is working now.
Thanks.
