Pardon my ignorance, but what's the story here?
Did I miss a thread?
Perhaps this means that Patrick submitted the SlackBuild then it was approved as-is by alienBOB. This is a vocabulary used by projects like GRUB where a few people are given the role or responsibility of approving a change before it is applied or committed (in case of GRUB in the source tree), giving their acked-by or reviewed-by. This analogy is pure speculation on my part though, as I do not know the roles or responsibilities of the Slackware contributors.
PS Perhaps there is no formal organization involved, Patrick just requested a review from Eric.

a/etc-15.1-x86_64-7.txz: Rebuilt.
Don't leave {group,gshadow,passwd,shadow}.new laying around.
We'd left these as a reference in case new default entries were added so that
the admin could take a look at them and merge the new entries into the
existing files. But we've been merging them over automatically for quite some
time. The files contain no unique information and are sort of a footbullet.

Fixed a heap-based buffer overflow in openjpeg in color.c:379:42 in
sycc420_to_rgb when decompressing a crafted .j2k file. An attacker could use
this to execute arbitrary code with the permissions of the application
compiled against openjpeg.

n/wpa_supplicant-2.10-x86_64-3.txz: Rebuilt.
Patched the implementation of PEAP in wpa_supplicant to prevent an
authentication bypass. For a successful attack, wpa_supplicant must be
configured to not verify the network's TLS certificate during Phase 1
authentication, and an eap_peap_decrypt vulnerability can then be abused
to skip Phase 2 authentication. The attack vector is sending an EAP-TLV
Success packet instead of starting Phase 2. This allows an adversary to
impersonate Enterprise Wi-Fi networks.

We can wish, but nary a word yet about all of the related GRUB changes, let alone user testing of those changes.
A wild gander is Pat waits until final KDE Gear/Plasma changes are released. Kind of like with Slackware 12.2 (released Dec 9 2008) and the final KDE 3.5.10 (released Aug 26 2008).
Would be nice to be a fly on the wall to see what remains on Pat's check list. But years ago I gave up guessing what is on his release check lists. Which is good because his knowledge of operating systems is at least ten-fold more than what I know!
I'm wondering if we won't get a version or two of Plasma 6 before the beta.
Following the various news feeds indicates a common flurry of X.0 bug reports. Nothing like the KDE 4.0 fiasco, but enough that pushing KDE 6.0 into 15.1 would tarnish the reputation of stable Slackware releases. Pat rarely adopts anything bleeding edge. Thankfully he has publicly committed to 5.27.
Edit: Oops. Looks like Pat already replied while I was busy elsewhere leaving my reply hanging.
