klibido:error while loading shared libraries: libkmdi.so.1

hello, ive tried to install klibido, on slack12.2 kde 4.2.2

after installation i get

klibido: error while loading shared libraries: libkmdi.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

i thought its related to kdelibs but i have installed lastest version

can someone point me to the right direction?

ive also checked with slackyd to see if i have all dependencies installed and it show that i do

thanks

I believe KLibido is a QT3/KDE3 app. Hasn't been updated for some time now

For text groups, give Pan, Knode, or even Thunderbird a shot. Pan also handles binaries and nzbs like a champ.

Hellanzb is what I use for nzbs, but it's not included in Slackware, nor at SlackBuilds. It needs Zope.Interface, Twisted, TwistedWeb, par2cmdline, and unrar.

thanks! that explains, however i see on slackyd repository theres klibido for slack 12.2, and it still dosent work when kde 4.2 is running. so i dont know what they meant by that.

Slackware 12.2 comes with kde3 by default. When you install kde 4 (from testing), it removes KDE 3.

On Slackware-current (which is only KDE 4) you can install, from extra, the kde3 compat packages. This include KDE3.x libs, QT 3.x, Arts, and QCA. This has allowed me to compile and run some legacy (QT3/KDE3) applications on Slackware-current
