I installed the new intel driver and it was easy to install. It just replaced the e100 driver in /lib/modules/... and I was able to modprobe it. After that, I added a line to rc.local to probe it at boot and put an alias in /etc/modules.conf. Thank you Chinaman (and Basel) for your help!
