It's here!

Welcome to vtown, volkerdi's friendly takeover of alienBOB's ktown Plasma 5
packages! Enormous thanks are due to alienBOB for maintaining and leading
testing of Plasma 5 on the side, even as I wore out his patience (and likely
others as well). But now this has made it into /testing and it won't be all
that long before it'll hit the main tree, so test it out and let me know if
anything broke...............

I suppose it would be foolish for this old fool to compile from source when vtown is now in testing.
Gonna install and begin testing tonight

Wow, congrats to the slackware team for getting KDE5 in testing! This is great news.
I hope to upgrade when everything is ready for slackware 15.0 release! But first, I might want to build a new computer for slackware 15.0, if I can!
Slackware 14.2 is working very good still, for the most part. But, some new software will no longer compile on slackware 14.2. I've just had to do without some software that doesn't compile . So, I'm really looking forward to slackware 15.0 and being able to compile stuff again, later.

Great news indeed Thanks to Eric for keeping on with Plasma 5 for so long, Pat for taking it up and merging, and everyone else who tested and contributed.
I've switched one system over from ktown to vtown, it generally seems to be running nicely. Two things:
- The "failed to find gam_server" thing when starting Firefox (from an xterm) is still present for me.
- I get a blank screen with a cursor at runlevel 4 (runlevel 3 with startx is all good though). Anyone know what might cause this issue?

If you are using slackpkg+ try
Code:
slackpkg search testing
and see if you have missed a few packages related to vtown.
