kde 3.4 upgrade yields boring looks

Hi,

I've been using KDE for ages and I love the Keramik look.

But since I upgraded to kde 3.4, I see a windows 98 type look, and I can't change it

I select Plastik or keramik, it does do somehting but nothin changes!!!

What is missing?

I did not have a clean kde install, like
I installed kde 3.4 on slackware 10.0 only to find out that I neede a new version of glib so I downloaded it and installed it
the same with
glibc
and the same with
libidn
when these were installed then KDE 3.4 booted up, but with dull looks?

I installed slackware packages

Your problem is probably due to the fact that you didn't do a clean install. Try removing the kde packages and reinstalling them.
