Have you downloaded and installed both the JDK and GlassFish Server?
You will need both the JDK and the GlassFish Server for Java EE/Jakarta EE.
https://slackbuilds.org/repository/1...velopment/jdk/
https://www.oracle.com/java/technolo...downloads.html
https://www.oracle.com/java/technolo...downloads.html
https://projects.eclipse.org/project...fish/downloads
GlassFish Server 5.0.1 and 5.1.0 seems to be functionally identical apart from branding/licensing.
The Java EE 8 SDK (GlassFish 5.0.1) from Oracle does include samples and documentation that seems to be missing from the Eclipse Jakarta EE 8 SDK (GlassFish 5.1.0).

I'm digging a little, and I realized that Jakarta8 is exactly as Java8, so using the same Slackbuild is correct

P.S.
Is correct using JDK 8, or should be JDK14?
Thanks

I have only tried the GlassFish Server version 5.0.1 Java/Jakarta EE 8 implementation using JDK 8u261. (It requires JDK 8u191 or later, it will crash with JDK 14.) Jakarta EE 9 will require JDK 11 but that hasn't been finalized yet (Eclipse GlassFish Server version 6 is still in beta as far as I know).
