Slackware is awesome, but be aware that it will most likely require more time than other distros. This isn't because it is harder to use or maintain. On the contrary, once it is setup you are good to go. Rather, you will want to spend more time with this OS, because it is so good. It is fun to tweak and play with and get work done in the same day.

For all those thinking about using Slackware: I say go for it. Welcome to the community.
