Installation Help with gpgme

i'm trying to compile gpgme so i could install gpa on my box, but everytime i try to compile the gpgme source it comes up with GpgSM missing. i've googled and found nothing, if there anyway i can figure out how to download and compile GpgSM, has anyone else had problems with compiling gpgme. any help would be gladly appreciated.

gpgsm is included in the experimental version of gnupg v1.9.11

i kept my gnupg v1.2.6 as my agent and compiled gnupg v1.9.11 for ONLY the gpgsm
(i don't remember the flag right now...google around and you should find it)
