Inconsistent KDE load times and problems with 64-current

Right now, it looks like KDE is frozen before it even loaded. All I have is the black box (where the system icons pop up when KDE loads) with the gray background behind it. A Ctrl-Alt-Del isn't doing anything to reboot.

Other times, KDE will load like a Banshee. Under 5-6 seconds. In fact, I just held down the power button and the machine shut down properly via ACPI doing an init 0 while it was frozen. Just booted back up and now I am back in KDE typing this message

Just using the standard Xorg.conf file with VESA. Haven't installed ANY drivers for my card.

Quick system specs:
Dell Poweredge 860
2.8 Ghz Pentium D
2 GB RAM
250 GB SATA

Maybe your disk drive is starting to fail.

Which I am ok with as I am installing new drives and a RAID controller as soon as Slackware x86_64 is official. I'm just doing testing with the current drive now.

But, I see no other problems anywhere else as of yet...

There have been a number of problems with KDE since the last but one update to current, this might in some way be related, but then again ....

Anyway try downgrading pixman to the previous version 15.10 I think.
