Question ImageMagic compile problems with libdps

Hi 133t slackwarists and fellow n00bs!

I am trying to get ImageMagic to compile on my slackware box, but I can't get past 'make.'

Here is the error I have received:

/bin/sh ../libtool --silent --mode=link gcc -g -O2 -Wall -pthread -L/usr/X11R6/lib -L/usr/lib -L/usr/lib -o compare -L/usr/X11R6/lib -L/usr/lib -L/usr/lib compare.o ../magick/libMagick.la
/usr/X11R6/lib/libdps.so: undefined reference to `XtMalloc'
/usr/X11R6/lib/libdps.so: undefined reference to `XtSetEventDispatcher'
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
make[1]: *** [compare] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/var/misc/ImageMagick-5.5.8/utilities'
make: *** [all-recursive] Error 1

I have tried to find XtMalloc and XtSetEventDispatcher, download libdps, and recompile xfree86, and all to no avail.

If anybody can help me get ImageMagick running, I would be much obliged!

There is an imageMagick package straight from Slackware that you could use.

If you can't use that, download the source package from a Slackware mirror and see what arguments to ./configure the Slackware ImageMagick packages are compiled with. Use the same or similar arguments when you compile yours.

I'll bet one of them is:

--without-dps

but there could be more.

Nevermind.. I fixed it by downloading the binary. Now it's working!
