how to set firefox "player" to xine instead of gxine
firefox alway opens gxine, but gxine tends to hang when streaming video as soon as I move or resize the window. How do I get firefox to use xine instead?
preferences, in the content tab down at the bottom click the Manage button for filetypes, highlight the item you want to change and hit the change action button...
I could be way off here, but there is a link to gxineplugin.so in /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins, which you could change. Whether that affects firefox or just mozilla I'm not sure.
