Install the rp-pppoe package.

Follow the instructions in /usr/doc/rp-pppoe-3.10/HOW-TO-CONNECT

It's part of a full install in the n/ series.

So it's on the CD or DVD whatever you installed from.

Look in /var/log/packages for rp-pppoe

You should have a pppoe-setup command (needs to be done as root)

If it really isn't installed you'll have to use installpkg to install it.

I would suggest you read the SlackBook, particularly the package management section.

Well a quick google shows that your modem is a "Stand-a-lone" unit and can be configured to connect via the web interface. After this is configured you can treat it as a normal router.

Thread is here.
http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=208771

If the defaults are as they say, you should be able to run "netconfig" and assign a static IP to your Slack box maybe
192.168.1.150
netmask 255.255.255.0
default gateway of 192.168.1.1.

After that point your web browser at http://192.168.1.1/ and configure the modem.
