How to install packages from cd?


How do I install packages from the slackware cd?
I need pkgtools from the slackware cd.

If you removed the packagetools you'll have to do it manually...

mount <cdrom>
cd <cdrom>/slackware/a
tar xvzf pkgtool*tgz -C /
/install/doinst.sh

I almost made a huge mistake but Hopefully I can just run swaret again and install whatever it uninstalled.

you`d think I would know that by now?

You might want to installpkg pkgtools as well, to make sure it gets recorded in /var/log/packages . and now that the package is installed, you can rm -R /install , too.
